Friday, 12 September 2008 16:53
Seven medical students (from Perth [UWA], Hobart [UTAS], Brisbane [UQ] and Melbourne [Monash]) participated in the recent Youth 2020 Summit. They discussed topics such as mental health education in schools, rural workforce issues, Indigenous health inequalities as well as developing ideas such as development of a National Preventative Health Agency and the automatic distribution of Medicare cards to 13 year olds.
